Terms and Conditions

Consultations – Only for Wedding Cakes

1. Consultations are primarily conducted via email or online meetings (Zoom) and are only available for wedding cakes. Appointments can be scheduled via email or through the "Contact Us" page on our website. Each consultation lasts up to one hour.

2. The consultation process does not include a cake tasting. If a tasting platter is required, it can be sent to you and will contain four flavours of your choice. This is subject to an additional charge of £25, payable before dispatch. If you place an order, this cost will be deducted from your final total. To request a tasting platter, please contact us via our website.

3. You may call or email us if you need to discuss any aspects of your cake before making a booking. Bookings can be made over the phone or via email without a prior consultation.

4. During the consultation, we will create a sketch of your cake design. This sketch remains our property until the booking fee has been paid, after which we will send you a copy. Unfortunately, you may not photograph the sketch during the consultation, but a copy will be provided once your deposit is received.

5. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking your consultation.

6. As of April 2025, we have a £450 minimum order for wedding cakes (excluding delivery or cake stand hire). While this is our minimum order value, most couples typically budget £550–£800+ for a wedding cake from The Yorkshire Cake Company.

7. For bookings beyond 2026, the minimum order value is subject to change.
